It takes me forever to pull the trigger on new items for our home. Sometimes it’s because R and I are at a standstill in our agreement of what we should add to our decor, but he’s honestly normally really agreeable, so I’m not complaining at all. I definitely get excited to add new decor into our home, and what better time than spring to refresh your space? Our old shag rug had run its course, and I couldn’t stand looking at it anymore (or looking at a big stain on it).

It was time for a new rug, and after lotsa back and forth, R and I agreed on this wool braided beauty from Rugs USA. It’s soooo soft, and since it’s such a light colour, I’ve adopted a new rule of no slippers allowed. Oh boy, we will see how long that lasts.

It’s so tough to order things online, and oftentimes, I just hope for the best. Since I’m in Canada, I order most things to my US post office, and drive over the border, so returning items isn’t possible. This means I have to choose wisely! I measured this little nook to ensure the table would fit, and it actually ended up being a bit larger than expected. I do think it still works though, and I love it.
