I know most people find Valentine’s Day a cheesy Hallmark holiday, and it totally is. BUT, I’m so into it! Any excuse to make heart shaped food (read: eat heart shaped food) and apply copious amount of pink to my life. Roberto and I are going to Fairmont Pacific Rim Willow Stream Spa for the afternoon, getting couples massages and we will probably order dinner to stay in. I made these super cute heart shaped pancakes for us this weekend to kick off the celebrations a little early, and they might be perfect to surprise your littles or hubs with, as well!
Heart Shaped Pancakes
2 c milk (any milk sub works great)
2 eggs
2 c flour (gluten-free or regular)
2 tsp baking powder AND baking soda
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp melted butter (optional)
Cook in a heated skillet with vegetable oil, and then cut out shapes with a cookie cutter. And yes, we eat the other parts of the pancakes, too.
Happy Valentine’s Day! xo
