Summer vibes up in here! The weather in Vancouver has been hit and miss, and we had a heat wave while back which got me into the summer swing. I have stocked up on some new summer faves, and I thought it would be fun to share them with you… so, shall we?

Let’s start with this season’s most notable purchase – a new bike! I’ve been wanting one for awhile, but hesitated for fear of never using it. Well, I pulled the trigger, and I’ve been riding it really often (an aside: especially to Barre class at Body Balance… if you’ve never tried Barre, you should! I was a total newbie, and still am, but I love the work out. And I HATE to work out). Oh, and of course I always ride around with peonies in my basket, rude! I chose the Electra Townie because it was super comfy and cushy with it’s big seat and tires. If you haven’t heard, Vancouver is very VERY bike friendly (bike lanes everywhere, which is a little annoying), so I cruise around downtown… until there is a hill, then I sweat my keister off. It’s actually probably hilarious if you see it.

Natural sunscreen, gotta have a stock of this to get you through the summer. I love these Suntegrity face and body sunscreens, and wear them daily.

Yum, watermelon salad has to be one of my fave things to eat all summer long. Sweet, juicy, salty and tart, I shared my fave recipe on Glitter Guide.

I spotted this wicker tote at H&M, and I had to have it. How perfect is it for picnics, and of course, random staged peony shots. I can’t find the exact one on their site, but if you pop into the store, I’m sure you’ll find it. Here’s a similar one.

Birkenstocks are life changing. I already have two pairs and a Birkenstock tan. My husband hates them (he says I look like a sister wife), but they are my absolute fave. Trendy and comfy, nothing better!

I had some time to kill between meetings the other day, and found myself browsing Homesense – what a little gem I found in this pineapple board. Perfect for summer ice cream binges, I’d say.

We’ve been wanting a Fiddle Fig Leaf plant for quite sometime, and Green With Envy found the perfect one for us! It’s so full and lush, which means it will hide the fact that we’ll probs kill a few leaves.

This boater hat! Maccs has seriously killed it with this one. It’s the hat of the summer, updated from the Panama hat.
